My name is Jennifer Simmons and I live in Devon in south west England with my partner, Jay Henson, where we share our life with 4 Finnish Lapphunds and 2 cats.

This website has been designed to share the great love we have for our animals and, in particular, the fabulous Finnish Lapphunds, or Suomenlapinkoira, as they are called in Finland. We first discovered the breed in 2003 and fell instantly for their great looks and terrific temperments. We acquired our first dog, Neka, shortly thereafter and haven't looked back since. The only problem is drawing the line at keeping only three - make that four, as of spring 2012! See what I mean?

We show our dogs with some success and breed occasionally. In choosing dogs to breed, our emphasis is always on health, temperment and type but we will never knowingly sacrifice temperment or health for wins at shows. To us, a beautiful and healthy dog of great character is a joy to own and will always be a winner, regardless of what judges may say at shows.

We sell puppies only to pre-approved and carefully vetted homes, so don't be offended when we ask you lots of nosey questions and want to visit you at home.

You should be warned, though - having a Lapphund is utterly addictive and it's difficult to stop at just one.
